Getting started: your first steps on the platform
This guide takes you from a new account to a working dashboard in four steps. When you finish, you will have a secured account, a connected exchange, your monitoring set up and a clear idea of where everything is.

Step 1: Register your account
Fill in the registration form with your name, email and phone number, and choose a strong, unique password. Your account manager will call to confirm the details and to explain what comes next.
Then secure the account before anything else: switch on two-factor sign-in with an authenticator app and set a security code for our emails. These two settings stop most account takeovers.
- Use a password you use nowhere else
- Turn on two-factor sign-in
- Keep your phone number current for the manager call

Step 2: Connect your exchange
Connection works through an API key created in your exchange account. In the exchange settings, create a new key, copy the key and the secret into the platform and save.
Set the key permissions to read and trade only. Never enable withdrawal rights, and where the exchange offers an address allow-list, restrict the key to the addresses we list. If a key is exposed, delete it at the exchange and create a new one.

Step 3: Set up analysis and monitoring
Choose the trading pairs you want the platform to watch, and the conditions that matter to you: which assets, how much of the balance may be used and when the system should pause. Your account manager can help you pick sensible defaults.
Switch on notifications for pauses, for connection problems and for the daily report, so you hear about things without having to look.

Step 4: Review and manage
The dashboard shows your balance, active strategies, recent activity and reports. From there you can change settings, pause or resume a strategy, export a history and see the cost of each action.
Make a habit of a short weekly review: look at what ran, compare it with your plan and adjust only what you understand.
Before you begin: what to have ready
The whole process is quicker when a few things are close at hand. Have your phone nearby for the manager call and the authenticator app, a government photo ID and a recent proof of address for verification, and the login to the exchange account you plan to connect. If you do not have an exchange account yet, your account manager can explain how to open one with a provider that is available in Canada.
Choosing your starting amount
The Basic plan starts from CA$250, and larger plans offer more features and priority service. A smaller start is a sensible way to see how the platform behaves, how reports read and how long withdrawals take, before you decide whether to go further. There is no monthly fee, so starting small does not cost you anything extra.
Understanding the dashboard
The main screen is split into four areas. The balance panel shows what is in your account and what is currently in use. The strategies panel lists what is running, with a switch to pause each one. The activity panel records what happened and what it cost. The reports panel offers daily, weekly and monthly summaries that you can export.
Take ten minutes on your first day to click through each area without changing anything. Knowing where things are makes it far easier to react calmly if an alert arrives later.
Common questions at this stage
Do I have to connect an exchange immediately? No. You can explore the dashboard first and connect when you are ready. Can I change my mind? Yes. You can pause strategies, delete the API key and withdraw according to the withdrawal policy. What if I get stuck? Your account manager can share the screen guide with you, or you can write to support at any time.
A sensible first week
On day one, secure the account and take the call. On day two or three, connect the exchange with a restricted key and look at the markets you want covered. By the end of the week, switch on alerts, run one strategy with a small amount and read the first reports. Resist the urge to change settings every day. A week of data tells you very little, and patience is cheaper than reacting.
Troubleshooting the first set-up
The exchange will not connect. Check that the key and the secret were copied without spaces, that the key has not expired and that the exchange has not restricted it to a different address list. If it still fails, delete the key at the exchange and create a new one. I did not receive the verification email. Look in the spam folder, check the address you registered with and ask support to resend. The authenticator code is rejected. The clock on your phone is probably out of sync, so enable automatic time in your phone settings and try again.
Habits that pay off
Keep a short note of why you made each change, so that in a month you can tell whether it helped. Review the history weekly, and the fee column in particular. Treat alerts as information and not as instructions, and when you are unsure about something, ask before you act.
What not to do in the first days
Do not deposit more than you planned because the first report looks good, and do not switch off every limit because a pause happened. Do not share your screen with someone who contacts you out of the blue, and do not follow instructions from anyone who is not your named account manager. If a message asks you to act quickly, that is a reason to stop and check it with us first.
Important notes
The platform does not guarantee profit. Crypto markets are volatile and you can lose part or all of the money you invest. Decisions about how much to invest, which strategies to run and when to stop are yours, and you remain responsible for them.
Start with an amount you can afford to lose, and increase it only once you are comfortable with how the platform behaves. Read the Risk disclosure before depositing.
