Our internal control framework takes account of the requirements that apply to regulated crypto asset trading platforms in Canada, including those for investment dealers, CIRO, and the provincial and territorial securities regulators.

Regulatory transparency

Registrations we maintain

Coin Trade 1000 aims to hold the registrations, permissions and compliance procedures required for the services it provides in each relevant jurisdiction, and to keep them current as the rules change.

What regulation does not do

Regulation does not remove investment risk and does not guarantee profit. Digital assets are exposed to market volatility and other risks described on the Risk disclosure page.

Cash deposits with a member institution may be eligible for CDIC coverage, subject to its rules. Eligible securities held by a member investment dealer may be covered by CIPF, subject to its limits. Crypto and other digital assets are generally not covered by CDIC or CIPF.
